Cat Naps

Sometimes I affectionately refer to my daughter as "Chloe: Queen of the Cat Nappers," because she wakes after about 30 minutes of sleep during the day while her brother sleeps for at least two hours. Wrestling all day with my little sweetie between her many naps, makes long periods of productivity difficult. The moment she goes to sleep I make a mad dash to get something done. So, I am very impressed and in love with Adele's ability to create such clever pictures during her daughters naps.

What do you do when your little ones are napping?

  3. My kids (at 9 and 11) are beyond this stage, but I must say that their sleeping habits as babies were insights into their personalities. My son, like yours, took long naps for 2-3 hours, while my daughter, also like yours, was a cat-napper. Today he is calm and reserved, while she is a busy-bee. She's an early riser and will organize her room, paint a picture, play her recorder, and revise her Christmas list - all before we get out of bed. I tell people that she does more before 8 a.m. than most of us do all day! He's content with a book or a video game for hours, and although he gets things done in his own time - he usually gets it done (usually).
